Three weeks ago I showed you the Burj Al-Arab, the world’s only 7 star hotel in Dubai. Two weeks ago I showed you the Burj Dubai, the world’s tallest skyscraper in Dubai. Last Wednesday I showed you the world’s largest indoor ski resort, Ski Dubai in Dubai. AGAIN, in Dubai is the world’s LARGEST man-made island projects, the Palms and The World. Why don’t we have the technology to make island get aways like this in America and would we want to? (You must write 5 sentences or you will get ZERO CREDIT)

i dont think we want to have technology like that because we dont want to have it.i dont think we want it.it would be cool if we had that but it wiuld take to long to build or take up to much electric.why would we even want that on our island???islands are suppose to be relaxing but it would not be with all the technology.

Because we, the Americans are in debt. About 2million or 2 billion i forget. Its dumb to even ask why we can not build stuff that expensive. We do NOT have the money to begin. projects like that or get the equipment needed. We are a bore country.

I think that we might want this because it might create more job’s for the U.S.A. But we might not want this Island because it will cost to much money. The gov. is in a bad position to build anything like this right now because of the economy.Besides only really rich people could afford it. This is why I think we don’t need it.

i think people would want that because the more people that go there to there island would have to pay to stay there in all the money would go to the government in maybe the government well or not giv that money to the army or in we had all that technology they could build better weapons for the soldier in better armor for them

Well like I mostly say there are many reasons why there isn’t that technology form technology. Like I always says America is rescission. We can’t even spend on a heath care bill. Also we are funding 2 useless wars that make no sense. The USA government reports that is takes 1 million a day to fund that war. Also people now in days really don’t care about marvels like this they just want to have and have more. We hve most of the potential and tech to do this I think we should.Well to me this new technology isn’t going to reach the USA into a long time.

there are a lot of reasons why we don’t make island resorts like that.
1 – we don’t have the money.
2 – we don’t have the space.
3 – we don’t need it.
4 – we aren’t smart eought.
5 – we are the best at almost everything else so we don’t need to beat them.

It would be cool to build one but there is catch to doing this. The catch is it would cost to much money to even build the technology. then if there is not even enough money to build the island than what would be the point to doing so. It would one of the coolest things i have ever seen but there might be hard, heavy conseqeunces. If the country spends all of the money on a project there will be more money put into taxes. Which will suck this country dry with no money.

The most probably reason that we do not have the ability to create island resorts like this are for that facts that our economy is in a very negative situation…and much of our countries profit is being used on the conflict overseas & for relief efforts within our own country.

What grade are these kids in? They sound like they’re 4. Why would you ask them to reply on something so stupid of a question, “why don’t we have the technology”? Ofcorse we have the technology… its the dutch that built the islands, along with Belgium. But technologically speaking, all you need is a dredge for the sand and a crane for the rocks to build the break water. To answer your question… Americans don’t build crap like that, because we already know we’re the best (no Napoleon complex here) and we MOST certainly have the technology. -Wayne
