Director Federico Alvarez spent $300 and made a short film which he then posted on YouTube. Famous Hollywood director Sam Raimi (All the Spiderman movies, Drag me to Hell, The Evil Dead Series) saw the clip on YouTube and gave the guy $30 million to turn this clip into a Hollywood movie. Give me your argument for why a movie like “Panic Attack” appeals to Hollywood and why Sam Raimi thinks audiences would like this movie”? (I have included the trailers of the original YouTube clip of “Panic Attack” and another movie that got started from a strong buzz and a short film, “Cloverfield”)(You must write 8 complete sentences or you will get ZERO CREDIT)

I think its cool because if i got 30 million dollars for youtube i would be crazy happy. I think drag me to hell was a good movie. But the other movies was retarded.

i think the people would enjoy the clip because people like the action in the movie. i thought the clip was a wast of $300. was not that good to me.and clover field looks like a zombie movie. those movies are gay but this one looks good. the people the made the movie clover field are probably famous directors. the two movies have a lot of differences between them but clover field has a big led. it looks really good. are the movies going to be in the movies???

i think that maybe it was a little crazy. but it probably is a good movie i would love it if i got 30 million dollars for putting something on you tube. i would be going crazy insane because i was so happy. it kinda looks stupid but it kinda looks good. so i don’t know if i would watch it.i think the one were the little boy is sitting there playing with his toy robots is cool cause he randomly sees really big robots going around.

I wouldn’t really know why people would like this movie but that’s just me I like thing’s like book’s and mystical thing’s. One of my hobbie’s is reading book’s that intrest me. You could ask my mom and dad they get sick and tierd of me reading all of the time. But if you really want a good saying about this movie ask anyone but me. That’s what I think you should do ask someone else rather than me.

I think its dumb. I can not argue something that dumb. Its predictable. Robots attack earth by the hundreds. Probably built and controlled by an crazy “evil” villain. And stopped by a “super” hero. Completely dumb. Needs alot of work!

I think that people would like to see the movie because the movie clover filed look like it got a lot of action in a lot of people like teen or kids like to see action movies but ataque de panico look alittle boring because not alot of people like robot the only good robots movies were robo cop or terminater salvation but mos of the movies that i like in other people like is movies that got action or are scary like alot of teen in older people like movies like that like nitmer at elmstret it got action on it in is scary at the same time but i think that best movie is iromen for me i dont khow about other people but mostly i like action movies

I think it’s an action movie with a monster in it. Most monster movies are horror movies. And not everybody watches horror movies. Plus, action movies have a lot of action going on. A monster doing all of it makes it even better. That’s because it is a whole lot harder to kill a monster. That makes it a more interesting movie. That’s my opinion.

i have never seen this movie before but i think it is a scary movie. its probably about burning buildings and monsters. but i wouldnt want to see no movies that are scary because im not into scary movies like that. but i will watch a movie called scream, micheal myers, freddie cruger, of freddie vs jason. other than that i dont watch any other scary movie.

Well I’m not that into scary movies but for holly wood to notice it… Why holly wood would more and likely come across this is because it’s action packed and it’s interesting. You want to people to stay and watch the movie. You want people to recommend it to other people. That’s how you make more money off the movie by people going to the movies and buying that movie.

I believe that the short film posted on Youtube appealed to Hollywood interest because of the science fiction plot mixed with a realistic setting. Movies made like this are fairly popular among audiences around the world because it gives them reason to wonder what would happen if a tragic event like this ever was to take place in the time the area in which they reside or in the lifetime that belongs to them. Also, with all of the special effects made with $300.00, the director probably wanted to be able to stretch the limits of which it attained.

Well the people appeal more to action movies in my opinion. Also since we are getting closer and closer to 2012 it’s more popular to watch apocalyptic movies. 2012 had one of the highest viewings. Also action are usually the movies that get the best views now in days. No one is usually excited to see a documentary, anymore. So if that movie ever comes out I will watch it and I never seen cloverfield so I will watch that one too.

it appeals to hollywood because it might be thriller which a lot of people like to watch. it appealed to Sam because he might like it might make this movie a block buster of a year. i think he needs to make more money than he was making for the little video thing. i think it was stupid a little bit but he could have maked trillon dollars for something like that. i mean it was ok but robots blowing up a city. that is really dumb to me. cloverfield i bet the diretor made lots of. i mean lots of money. it was a good movie to me because it had lots of killing, action, blood, and guts. its so tight to me. and plus lots bulidings blowing up just look and scream. imagine that you was in that diaster. and plus if you watch it in 3d it is so real to me. its so cold you might scream out of nowhere. for real on a real tip. i like both of the of the video you put on there. but the one about the robots blowing up everthing is very stupid and outragous to really happen. well who knows for real. i mean i don’t think it won’t. it looks so reastic thats all. thats all i have to say.

Action movies always appeal to crowds. Crowds also love disaster movies. And they love alien movies. So, if you mix all three — you got a good movie. It’s crazy to find a guy on YouTube from Uruguay and give him $30 million to make a movie. Sam Raimi thinks he will make his money back, so it’s no big deal. Cloverfield had a crazy buzz on the internet about this unseen monster that tears up New York City. It’s kinda like Godzilla, except everyone already knew what Godzilla looked like. No one knew what that monster was. That helped this movie. Cloverfield wasn’t really any good AFTER you saw the monster.

I think it would appeal to Hollywood because it is interesting. They can make more money when each person buys the movie. Alot of people enjoy action movies. They also like disaster movie. Personally I enjoy both. Hollywood enjoys anything they think will become popular.Some of them are even scary so people like that and the populariyt goes up more!

I dont like movies like that. They are not that funny. It is just to much action and to loud at parts. I like movies that are funny/ comedy movies. That have alot more color than just black,gray and brown. But it is also because i dont understand have the things that are goin on. I have never seen the movies listed at the top so i really dont know. I would have to watch the whole movie.
